Coupon code policy
The ten obligations Travelistory holds itself to on every travel code it publishes.
This is the standard Travelistory holds itself to for every travel code and offer it publishes. It follows the IAB UK Voucher Code of Conduct v4.0 and the Awin Publisher Code of Conduct. It is written as a list of obligations because that is what it is, and each one names what the site actually does to meet it.
1. Every offer is dated
Each card shows the travel brand’s own end date, or says No end date given. Where a feed sends a date more than two years away, it is treated as the feed’s stand-in for “ongoing” rather than as a real deadline, and the card says so. There are no permanent “ending soon” badges on this site; when a card says an offer ends tomorrow, it ends tomorrow.
2. Ended offers come down
An offer leaves every list and every counter on the day it ends. It remains on its own brand page for 21 days in a block headed Ended recently, marked as not working, so that a reader who bookmarked it is not left confused. After 21 days it is unpublished. Ended offers carry noindex.
3. Key terms are visible before you act
Minimum nights, blackout dates, booking windows, membership requirements, direct-booking rules, availability limits and exclusions appear as plain text beside the offer at every screen width. They are never hidden behind the reveal. The longer detail, including the brand’s own terms wording, is one click away under See Details.
4. Codes are handed over with their terms
A coupon code is shown as its first characters until you ask for it. Pressing the control copies the code, restates the terms and the end date beside it, and opens the travel brand in a new tab. The reason is not theatre: a code pasted into a list is a code separated from the conditions that decide whether it will work.
5. You are told before you are sent somewhere
Every control carries a note naming the travel brand’s own domain and saying that a new tab will open. Nothing on this site navigates you away without saying so first.
6. Nothing is exaggerated
Discounts are the brand’s own published figures. There are no invented “was” prices, no ratings, no review counts, no usage counts and no testimonials anywhere on this site, because none of those things have been measured. Counters are computed from what is published at the moment the page is built. Where a counter says codes it means offers that need a code typed at a checkout; where it says offers it means everything live, most of which needs no code at all. The two are never merged.
7. Categories that are not carried
Gambling and casino resorts, adults-only resorts, vaping and tobacco, cannabis and CBD, adult goods, weapons, prescription medicine and high-cost credit are excluded by policy, whatever commission is on offer.
8. Search listings match the page
Page titles and descriptions are generated from the live counts on that page. No page on this site is titled for a brand it does not list or an offer it does not hold.
9. Reports are acted on, not filed
A reported code is taken down while it is checked. If it is dead it does not go back up. Report a dead code.
10. Corrections
If a travel brand or a network believes something here misrepresents an offer, write to hello@travelistory.com. The listing comes down first and is discussed afterwards.
